Art Camp What could be more exciting then attending a camp during the long summer holiday? Add the arts to the camping experience and you have a winning combination. That is exactly the idea behind PARTNERS ANNUAL ART CAMP. Classes include such diverse arts as gourmet cooking, kite building, T-shirt painting, dance, music, theater, black and white photography, magic tricks, and creative writing. Additional classes include scrap booking, polymer clay, stained glass, paper mache and silk painting. Then add in the many types of visual arts, including beginning drawing, charcoal drawing and watercolor. There is something for everyone. At days end, the performing art sessions- music, dance, theater- will present a performance of their talents. The Art Camp is open to all youth and adults registered in the PARTNERS and Art Partners program. The general public is also invited to attend as space allows. Art Partners Teen Advisory Board The Art Partners Teen Advisory Board was formed in 2006 to help Art Partners improve and promote the program. They have been an intrigal part in the creation of A.R.T. and continue to drive new developements in the Art Partners program.
A.R.T. Artistic Resource for Teens
The A.R.T. Zine is a new endeavor for Art Partners and the Teen Advisory Board. The first issue came out in Spring of 2007. We have received over 100 submissions of some of the best work by teens in the reagion. Area teens are invited to submit their work on an on going basis. A.R.T. gives teen artists and writers the opportunity to learn the process of submiting work and the pleasure of receiving a check for work that is published. All forms of printable/digital art work are accepted for review. Writing, photography, graphic design, computer art, drawing, painting, etc.
